Details about both Open and Closed Cell Foam.

Spray Foam Insulation

Benefits

Spray foam insulation is composed of two chemicals, polyol resin and a form of isocyanate. When both chemicals are combined during the spraying process, they create a foam that expands allowing it to fit into any crevice, areas where traditional insulation would not fit. The foam then hardens and becomes extremely rigid which then provides added structural integrity to your walls/roof and never loses it’s shape.

What is it?

If you have been told that spray foam insulation allows your home to heat and cool more efficiently, and provides superior air quality, it’s true! Spray foam insulation offers a higher R-Value per inch than traditional insulation which provides outstanding thermal performance. The space will keep cool during the hotter months and warm during the cooler months. This provides outstanding energy efficiency saving you money on your electric bill. By filling tiny crevices, spray foam insulation creates a better seal than traditional insulation, providing excellent air quality and comfort, cutting down on common allergens, mold and mildew. Spray foam insulation overall also provides excellent sound control throughout your space.

Performance

Using spray foam insulation will increase the value of your property due to many factors. Spray Foam never loses it’s shape therefor making it last a lifetime and never needed to be replaced. The thermal performance that spray foam provides means a lifetime of savings on your energy bill, unlike traditional insulation which will lose it’s effect and shape after 15-20 years.
